Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 6:00pm - 10:00pm
Saturday 9:00am - 5:30pm
Introduction to structural welding, with the main focus on SMAW (stick) welding processes in Alaska and the southern states. Students will receive hands on one-on-one training from an NIT welding instructor.
This course will cover everything from turning on and setting up your welding machine to welding in some of the most challenging positions. There will be hands on training with oxyfuel torches, the plasma torch and other fabrication tools. In addition we will cover welding theory during the classroom portion based off of the NCCER curriculum.
