Curriculum

  • Introduction to OSHA Standards: Locate OSHA Standards references applicable to specific hazardous conditions and practices
  • General Safety and Health Provisions: Recognize the aspects of 1926 Subpart C
  • 1926 Subpart D Occupational Health and Environmental Controls: Implement preventative measures for accidents in their workplace
  • 1926 Subpart E Personal Protective Equipment: Describe types of personal protective equipment (PPE), and the requirements for use in OSHA standards
  • 1926 Subpart F Fire Protection and Prevention: Understand the requirements for fire protection in the workplace
  • 1926 Subpart H Rigging; 1926 Subpart N Cranes and Rigging: Identify types of rigging equipment used to protect employees
  • 1926 Subpart J Welding and Cutting: Identify the critical health and safety hazards of welding and cutting in the construction industry
  • 1926 Subpart K Electrical Standards: Identify common electrical hazards and related OSHA standards
  • 1926 Subpart L Scaffolding: Understand the importance of scaffolding for workers in elevated workplaces
  • 1926 Subpart M Fall Protection: Implement measures for protecting workers and equipment from dangerous falls
  • 1926 Subpart P Excavations: Recognize the hazards associated with working in or around excavation sites
  • 1926 Subpart Q Concrete and Masonry: Understand the safety requirements necessary to protect workers around concrete and masonry jobs
  • 1926 Subpart T Demolition: Identify the precautions and hazards to protect workers using explosives or blasting agents
  • 1926 Subpart X Stairways and Ladders: Protect workers who perform jobs on or around stairways or ladders at work sites
  • List and describe the hazards and prevalence of confined spaces
