Classroom Theory Training
Participants will receive classroom instruction on defensive driving techniques and applications specific to Alaskan winter conditions. The classroom session includes training on basic cold weather vehicle maintenance and awareness of seasonal hazards, developing knowledge and skills of how to deal with them. The main teaching points include, winter safety gear, extreme weather driving, skid avoidance, skid recovery, threshold and ABS braking systems, driving attitude, and accident prevention.
