Veteran Training Programs

Interesting in learning and developing a new skill? NIT accepts VA Funding for any program 40 hours or longer. Our programs are designed to provide the necessary skills and certifications to advance into a career in the civilian workforce.

Unsure how to start using your benefit?  Every Thursday from 12:00 to 14:00, Randy Reamer from the Alaska (Wasilla) Veteran Center will be available to meet with and talk about any concerns or questions regarding your V.A benefits and the application process and to discuss any other veteran concerns.

NEW! Aluminum Welding Program!

NIT is now offering Aluminum Welding / W413. The program will cover mechanical means of cutting aluminum, base metal preparation, joint fit-up, beads and fillet welds, and much more!

NEW DMV LICENSING REQUIREMENTS!

Summer Training ScheduleAlaska is actively complying with a federal law that requires commercial drivers to prove they are a lawful permanent resident or U.S. citizen. 
You must provide one of the following federally approved, government-issued documents: 
  • Valid U.S. Passport or Passport Card
  • U.S. State or Territory Issued Birth Certificate
  • Certificate of Naturalization
  • Valid Permanent Resident Card
  • Consular Report of Birth Abroad
  • Certificate of Citizenship
