Community Involvement: Building a Multi-Purpose Park
NIT works hard to stay in contact with the local community, and whenever possible tries to make training an opportunity to better the community. Our Construction Equipment Training 240 Hour / HE 204 program teaches students the skills necessary to safely operate heavy equipment, including front end loader with forks, OSHA Forklift, loader, dozer, excavator, skid steer, backhoe, and end dump. This year, a local church reached out to NIT, and asked if our CET students would like the opportunity to both train while providing a service to the community, by filling in the area behind the church, and bring it up to grade in order to build a public multi-purpose facility.
