Any company or contract employee who works within the various fields must complete a minimum training program called the Unescorted program.

NSTC: Unescorted

Description: The North Slope Training Co-operative (NSTC) is a collaborative effort between the North Slope unit owners and their contractors to ensure all employees (company and contract) have basic safety, health and environmental policy classes before going to work on the North Slope. The Unescorted program consists of the following six courses: Camps & Safety Orientation, Alaska Safety Handbook, Hazard Communication, HAZWOPER Awareness, Personal Protective Equipment, and Environmental Excellence. (These courses are described under the individual course descriptions.)

* Hydrogen Sulfide may also be required for facility access.

Unescorted Tuition:                 $165;    Course Length:   8 hours

Unescorted plus H2S Tuition: $175;    Course Length:    9 hours
