Scaffold User
This 8-hour program is for employees who will be performing work from scaffolds, but will not be
responsible for erecting, dismantling, or designated as competent persons to inspect. This class
will cover OSHA regulations for using scaffolding.
Tuition: $250 (Minimum of 3 students)
Scaffold Competent Person/Scaffold Builder
This 24-hour program is for employees who will be responsible for erecting, dismantling, and/or
designated as competent persons to inspect. This program covers the OSHA training requirements
for frame, tube & clamp, and system scaffolding (1 day), a day of erecting and dismantling scaffold,
and one day of; scaffold design & loading, planning, material estimation, and calculating leg loads.
Tuition: $700 (Minimum of 3 students)
NCCER Scaffolding Program
This 180-hour program will give students the skills required to build scaffolding as required.
Introduces the scaffolding program, describes scaffolding duties and identifies scaffold types and
terms. This class provides a comprehensive overview of the safety regulations and guidelines in
the industry. Also covered; trade math, and stationary, mobile, and suspension scaffolding.
Prerequisites: Drivers license recommended, GED or High School Diploma, DOT physical,
FMCSA/DOT drug test. Information on additional levels at www.nitalaska.com.
Tuition: $4,200 Book & Material fee: $200 (Minimum of 6 students)
