NIT was established as a response to the growing demands from the Transportation, Oil & Gas, and Construction industries. NIT was founded with the concept of providing classroom and hands on training to not meet but exceed basic requirements for the people of Alaska. Our programs are approved by the Alaska Commission on Post-Secondary Education and the Division of Motor Vehicles. NIT is a nationally recognized NCCER training sponsor and offers a Professional Truck Driver Institute (PTDI) certified program. In addition to serving the Matanuska-Susitna Valley, NIT is authorized to conduct CDL testing and offer training programs throughout Alaska.
