Truck and Heavy Equipment Courses

  • This individualized program is for the extremely experienced truck driver for CDL A or B. This program includes up to 6 hours of vehicle training to include: pre-trip inspection, air brakes testing, coupling/uncoupling, backing and behind the wheel driving. Two hours are reserved for the road skills exam.

  • This program is for the inexperienced truck driver for CDL A or B and includes up to 36 hours of vehicle training to include: pre-trip inspection, air brakes testing, coupling/uncoupling, backing and behind the wheel driving. This program does not include any classroom preparation. Two hours are reserved for the road skills exam.

  • This individualized program is for the extremely experienced truck driver for CDL A or B. This program includes up to 3 hours of vehicle training to include: pre-trip inspection, air brakes testing, coupling/uncoupling, backing, and behind the wheel driving. This program is catered toward individuals who need a quick check up on their skills. Two hours are reserved for the road skills exam.

  • This individualized program is for the experienced truck driver for CDL A or B and includes up to 14 hours of vehicle training to include: pre-trip inspection, air brakes testing, coupling/uncoupling, backing, and behind the wheel driving. Two hours are reserved for the road skills exam.

  • This accelerated tractor-trailer driving program includes 24 hours of classroom training with written exam preparation and time allotted for DMV written testing and permitting. This program includes up to 56 hours of vehicle training (to include air brake testing, pre-trip inspection and coupling/uncoupling). Safe driving practices, preventative maintenance, speed and space management, night operation and backing are also addressed. Upon successful completion, students earn a CDL A or CDL B.

  • This tractor-trailer driving program inlcudes up to 40 hours of classroom training with written exam preparation and time allotted for DMV written testing and permitting. This program includes up to 80 hours of vehicles training (to include air brake testing, pre-trip inspection and coupling/uncoupling). Safe driving practices, preventative maintenance, driver qualification and cargo securement training are also addressed. Upon successful completion, students earn a CDL A or CDL B.

    January 25 - February 12, 2010
    February 22 - March 12, 2010
    March 29 - April 16, 2010

  • This course extensively guides students through vehicle systems, safety, and hands-on, tractor-trailer driver training. Safe operating practices address accident procedures, extreme driving conditions, and emergency maneuvers. Students take the road skills test in the same equipment used throughout the course.

    Also, included in this course is training in 1st Aid/CPR, DOT Regulations (49 CFR 172.700) and forklift use. A certificate is received for each. The successful student receives a CDL A.

  • This program consists of a three-hour block of time with an instructor for refresher training in a Class A or B vehicle. Additional time may be purchased by the hour. (No test will be given.)

  • The 8 week CET program combines heavy equipment operator training and commercial truck driver training. Students recieve supervised, direct hands on operation of the equipmen with classroom isntruction in principles of operation, work site safety and preventative maintenance procedures.

  • This 160 hour program consists of heavy equipment operator training. Students receive supervised, direct hands on operation of the equipment with classroom instruction in principles of operation, work site safety and preventive maintenance procedures.Training equipment is typically excavator, dozer, backhoe, and/or loader. Students will have the opportunity to test on and receive certifications for individual pieces of equipment, Traffic Control Flagging, First Aid/CPR, and Mine safety (MSHA).
