Safety Programs

  • Alive at 25 This 4-hour National Safety Council program is designed specifically for young adults between the ages of 16 thru 24. It is designed to be an early intervention program to prevent future traffic violations, collisions and/or fatalities. This allows for a two-point reduction or a two-point credit for one year on a student's driving record.

    Wednesday - March 17th. 4pm to 8pm
    Wednesday - April 21st. 4pm to 8pm

  • This 8/10-hour course will teach students specific survival steps, how to identify hazards, mitigate risky actions, and successfully construct a shelter. After completing the course, students will possess the necessary skills for survival in the Arctic climate.

  • This 8-hour course was developed by the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) to provide trained and responsible flaggers to the nation's roadways, thus enhancing traffic safety for workers and road users.

  • This 16-hour course is a combined classroom and lab instruction course that teaches the operational procedures and protocols for land, sea, and aircraft emergencies, emergency equipment, and Advanced Life Support training. Students will learn about personal and inflatable life support devices, and the skills necessary for safe egress on land and in water, how-to overcome disorientation in confined space, and exposure to the elements.

  • This 8-hour course, students will learn critical techniques and methods to increase chances of survival in a cold water emergency. Classroom topics include: hypothermia mitigation & treatment, recognition & utilization of survival equipment. Hands-on training includes: proper donning of survival suits & utilization in a water setting as well as righting & boarding an inverted life raft

  • This 8-hour program provides both a three year First Aid certification and a one year Professional Rescuer CPR/AED certification through the National Safety Council.

  • OSHA 1910.120 40-hour Hazardous Waste certification training in Hazardous Waste Site cleanup and the transportation of hazardous waste. Students are trained in the proper methods of sampling, handling, and transporting of hazardous materials.

  • This 8-hour program is required to maintain a 40-hour general Site Worker certification, OSHA 1910.120 and 49 CFR 172.700.

  • Haz Mat Transport Specialist 49 CFR parts 100 ? 177 32-hour DOT regulatory requirements for the shipping and handling of hazardous materials and hazardous wastes. This is a requirement
    for many warehouse personnel, drivers, material handlers, technicians, and front-line management. The program includes Awareness Certification 49 CFR 172.700.

  • OSHA 1910.120 8--hour Hazardous Waste certification training in First Response at the Operations Level. This program satisfies the requirements many companies have for entering a haz-mat site. Training includes basic understanding of hazardous materials and the first steps taken on the scene of hazardous material accident.
