This 160 hour program consists of heavy equipment operator training.

Course Description

Students receive supervised, direct hands on operation of the equipment with classroom instruction in principles of operation, work site safety and preventive maintenance procedures.Training equipment is typically excavator, dozer, backhoe, and/or loader. Students will have the opportunity to test on and receive certifications for individual pieces of equipment, Traffic Control Flagging, First Aid/CPR, and Mine safety (MSHA).

Prerequisites

  • DOT Physical
  • FMCSA/DOT Drug Test
  • Alaska Drivers License or Stat Issued Photo ID Card
